actually, it's not really a good buy, it cost me 102 bucks para lang sa loofah na to. pero naman kse, ang hirap humanap ng loofah na durable. ung nakabilog, wala pang 3 ligo eh kalas na. kaya siguro pede na to kahit mejo mahal. hehe.

last night, i tried sleeping with petroleum jelly on my feet. kesho it'll remove the dryness "daw". eh hello, wala pang 2 hours eh nde ko natagalan. i felt uneasy and napakainit. napuyat ako dahil dun. hai nako, next time ko na lang itry ulet.

sa palagay ko naman eh familiar kayo sa commercial ng Koko Crunch, dba?! oh well, may versions din kse kame ng commercial ni eagle man dito sa opis. andito si arjie na si kamoteman, for the simplest reason na mahilig sha maglabas ng masamang hangin. :D

and just this afternoon ay nabully na naman ako at nabinyagan ng new alias. ako daw si "Singit Woman". huhu, etong mga mokongs na to! their harrying went like this:

bebe: nde nga ata pimple to eh. nakarma ata ako sa pang-aasar kay fitz sa nunal nya sa ilong.

jay: baka kulani yan?!

bebe: hello nde kaya!

arjie: oo, un tumutubo sa singit!

rhoi: oo ung dito (pointing to his singit beside his *bleep*bleep*) saka sa kili-kili.

jay: andame mo kseng singit eh (referring sa mga singit ko in between ng mga bilbil ko). ah ikaw na lang si Singit Woman!

arjie: (practicing my would-be dialogue) Ako si Singit Woman, nde nagbebreakfast si Singit Woman!

Reunited and it feels so good...

tonight, i finally had the chance to whoop it up with my co-charlie's angels, lalen and mish. "charlie's angels" for the reason that we used to organize teambuilding activites for the augusta project way back in acn. initially, we had planned this meet-up so mish and i can get the augusta dvds from lalen and of course dahil i owe her a lot, shempre sinisingil nya ako ng libre from starbucks. hehe. she also bought gifts na parker pens para samin ni mish for no reason at all. siguro dahil namiss nya kame at dahil iniwan namin sha sa acn. hihi. :) mish, on the other hand, had promised me starbucks GC. kaya parang birthday ko na naman kanina. hehehe. everytime i go to pioneer, ang dame kong gifts! love y'all gurls!

updates on my to-do list

kanina nag-halfday ako para ayusin pa ulet ung other papers ko. nabubwiset talaga ako sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno dito sa pinas. ambagal na, puro pera pa ang kelangan mong ilabas bago maayos ang mga requests mo. kaya napakayaman ni Gloria eh! bwiset talaga. anyway, here's an update on the processing of my papers. mejo madame na ang na-accomplish ko and i feel so much relieved. ang next important step ko na lang talaga is to shell out some moolah for my dost bond, tapos NBI and passport and clearance na sa DFA. watchlisted kase ako sa mga agencies na yun, so parang kalevel ko ang mga may kaso na tao. hai, nakaschedule na yan by first week of august. sana lang eh nde babagal bagal ang NBI at DFA pag nagpaprocess nako dun. wish me luck!

here's my attendance sheet which arrived today along with my payslip last cutoff. seemingly, TDY outnumbered the other remarks. hmmm, TDY that means TIDY!? nyeknyek. ok ok, obviously I'M SOOO TARDY! i felt so ashamed after seeing that sheet or should i say SHIT! to think that i am scheduled to have my 3rd month "kumustahan" with the new recruitment manager tomorrow. waaaah! nakakahiya ka bebe!

but then i was advised that the attendance isn't counted on the performance assessment. as if i would believe that crap! pero as far as SAP-ABAP is concerned, i think highly that i'm performing well. hehe.

waaaah pero nahihiya pa rin ako!!! right now i'm thinking of processing my papers asap, scheduling my start date on my next employer soon and resigning na, hehe! but no no no, i should stick with the plan and be responsible enough to wake up early. hmmm, kaya ko kaya?!

ps. on that payslip, i was able to acquire a perfect attendance. but the deductions due to my tardiness cost me 1,6++php. huwaw, pede ko na pambayad ng globe plan bill ko un. huhu.

HP has contacted me for the umpteenth time. they've been trying to schedule me for an interview since last year pero laging bad timing. working in that firm seems great, according to diane there's subsidized shuttle, laptop will be issued so as you can work from home twice or thrice(?) a week. kaya nga naisip ko na if i am to stay here in the philippines and wala na sa isip ko ang migration goals eh i'd choose to work in HP until retirement na un. hehehe.

ps. sabi ni jay, ambata ko pa daw para magplano ng retirement. bwahaha!

something fun and girly!

apparently, i have nothing to do here in the office. i'm just waiting for some feedback from the UAT in ATSG. luckily the websense is down so bloghopping to the highest level and it looks like i'm the only one who has the time to post several entries in a day. hahaha. to maximize the open portal (websense die, die!!!), i was able to try the dress up games particularly that of Project Runway Season 3. i've always loved Jeffrey Sebelia's collection (top row). i've tried out the other finalists' collections too. the first 2 wardrobes at the bottom row are creations of Michael Knight and the last 2 are from Laura Bennett and Ulrike Herzner. the clothes are so chic! :)

ps. as usual, nagrereact na naman ang mga mokong sa tabi ko. kumusta daw barbie-barbie-han ko. hehehe.

it's been 2 years since i last saw my college friends. tonight, we finally had the chance to meet up again since mark had flown back from taiwan for a 10-day emergency leave and katchy was able to come to manila all the way from la union. yey!!!

i was the one who suggested to have our all-expense paid dinner and drinking spree at krocodile grill. thanks mark! :) speaking of mark, he hasn't changed at all --- his trademark goofy look, multiple burps and never-ending corny jokes! when i say corny, CORNY talaga! ewan ko ba.

jules, mike and obe were not able to come. eto ang mga naga-gwapuhang aspiring models kaso hopeless na ata madiscover at mabigyan ng break. hehehe. jules was at work while the other 2 eh wala na kameng contact numbers nila.

mark: will fly back to taiwan and extend his contract for another 6 months. i'm encouraging him na magcross-country na lang to accompany me.

pag nagresign ako, wala na akong identity. i meant, wala na akong proof to identify myself kse wala na akong ibang ID kundi ang nag-iisang amkor ID ko. napakahirap pala ng ganun pagdating sa applications ng loans, sa banks, sa NBI clearance, police clearance at kung anu pang clearances na meron. kaya kanina, i decided to apply na for postal ID. pero shempre, kailangan na naman ng police clearance na kailangan din ng ID. ano ba naman to. pasaway kse akong filipino na nde nagparegister sa comelec para sana man lang meron akong voter's ID. tsk tsk.

eto ha, late ako nagising, as always, pero nde rin ako pede umabsent dahil ako ang may hawak sa S1 Reconfiguration Project ng ATSG na scheduled to go-live this weekend. may mga pahabol na modifications pa sila at dahil love ko ang boss ko eh ayoko rin talaga shang iwan sa ere. so un, i used my charms kay mama at napapayag ko sha na kumuha ng police clearance for me. sa san pedro lang un, sa baba ng SOGO (oi!). pero ang tanong eh pede ba naman na walang appearance ng applicant?!? hmmm... nakow, sa ngayon eh chicken lang pala kumuha ng police clearance dahil chicken rin lang ang katapat nila. hahaha! i asked mama to bring my picture at voila! may police clearance na ako. yey! ang equation:

so tom., since half day ang barangay eh papaclearance na rin ako para by monday eh submission na lang ng requirements sa post office! galing, galing! another minus from my worries. thanks mama, sa mga pulis at sa masarap na chicken ng puregold. wahehe!

jay & mai: soon-to-be-hitched

the other day, jay handed over this invite to us. ang ganda, simple but elegant, si mai daw nagdesign. :) their motif is pink and green, cute combo! finally hitched na sila come august 8. :) sa st. james alabang yung ceremony tapos sa isang clubhouse sa cavite ung reception. i'm very happy for them! yay! :)

nakow, i just remembered, kelangan ko ng formal dress. i have 3 weeks to diet, haha. as if! at bibili pa pala kame ng gift sa atc rustan's. need to remind the other peeps.

yes, i got this from a reliable source, she happens to know someone who works in the prestigious hospital at alabang. we were talking about Her Excellency's executive check-up tom. as in karir ang prepare ng hospital, iko-close ang outpatient lobby, repaint ng walls, change of linoleum, fresh flower in the restroom and red carpet pa, san ka pa?!!!

okay, going back sa secret! SHE has silicon boobs ( + ) ( + ) ... kumusta naman yun?! of course alam yun because of mamogram. for that procedure, kelangan ng patient magsign ng waiver. possible daw na pumutok un! OUCH!

nga pla, thanks to mama who went to San Pablo, Laguna pa just to have my baptismal certificate corrected. mas mahigpit pa ang simbahan sa NSO! ako naman ang pumunta ng DOST kanina, nakapagpaalam ako kay sir ric to go to DOST-SEI bicutan to pass the requirements for bond recomputation and correction of my DOB. carry nang bayaran ang bond, mababa na lang naman sha. tinuro na rin sakin how to compute so as i can estimate the amount by the time na magbabayad na ako. acn, backpay ko, need ko na yan, NOW NA!!!!

sana lang talaga eh maaccomplish ko lahat asap. ang mahirap lang talaga is no work, no pay ako. nakakapanghinayang mag-absent several times in one cut-off. hai nakow bebe, ganun talaga, tatamad tamad ka kse dati nung madame ka pang time habang bonded sa acn eh.

today, the epidemic weekend hangover hit me again. woke up at around 9am and received an sms from boss ric advising me that he'll be on SL. i didn't want to start the week with TARDINESS written all over my face kaya i called in sick too. sorry sir ric! :)

sayang talaga coz im still under probation so no work no pay un kaya i thought of doing something productive today. ate my breakfast and grabbed some smokes until 10am. naisip ko na pumunta na lang ng manila to change my records in mapua and request for new copies of my diploma and TOR. left at 11:30 tapos antrapik, sobra! arrived there at 2pm and met up with my cousin narlyn whose wandering manila to pass her CVs sa mga recruitment agencies. she badly needs a job abroad kaya todo rin ang support namin.

pagdating ko sa mapua, aba napakaingay. akala ko job fair lang, ayun pala eh frosh week (hmmm, walang ganito samin nun ah, gaya gaya talaga sa la salle to, por que si yuchengco na may-ari). anyway, so i headed to the registrar at nalaman kong kelangan pa pala ng joint affidavit from 2 disinterested parties. asos! kainis! so buti na lang at may notary public along muralla street. so as usual, gawa-gawa na naman ung affidavit at kame lang ang nagsign. nakow, nung una akala namin un talaga ung lawyer kse matanda na sha at mukha naman may alam, pero ayun pala eh peke rin at wag ka kame pa nagcorrect ng grammar ng affidavit ha!! hmmp! kainis. after completing the requirements eh napasa ko na rin lahat and nagbayad na rin sa treasurer. all in all, i paid 825 bucks, not bad, at least nde ko na kelangan pumunta pa ng CHED (nde na yata under ng CHED ang mapua eh).

we're finished by 5pm tapos kain sa mcdo. sobrang pagod! and of course, papalagpasin ko ba ang famous intramuros wall na maganda for photo op (kaso mejo makulimlim na nun) and perfect tambayan for smoking. hai, sobrang namiss ko ang manila (mas masarap pa rin talagang mag-aral).

after a looooooong wait...

at long last, my partially corrected birth certificate has arrived (see footnote). the date of birth remains erroneous though. oh well, as planned eh paninindigan ko na ang october 20. next step is to align the rest of my records starting from baptismal certificate hanggang sa employer records ko. tapos application na ng passport, yay! hopefully when a great opportunity knocks on my door (we're talking about work abroad here), then that's the time that i have to shell out some moolah to pay my DOST bond so as to clear my being waitlisted at NBI and DFA. whew! this would take me a lotta work so i gotta start movin'. ok, enough na sa internet, time to jot down some things to do on my planner then. ciao!

ps. the fixer came this morning at nagwalk-out ang lola mong galit na galit kase we were asking for refunds. we had given her 20K to fix all the wrong data including the DOB. she just processed the clerical error (for 7 long months), how about the DOB?! sobrang mali mali pa ang kwento nya na kesho may nipublish daw sha nung umpisa and just now sinabi nya na walang nipublish! bwiset.

ms. fixer, thanks for my BC but sorry dahil we won't recommend you anymore as a fixer to our friends.

fitz has been winning our digits games for 3 consecutive days already and we were joking na sa digits sha makakaipon ng pangtanggal nya ng malaki nyang nunal sa ilong. so the usual kalokohan goes like this:

fitz: oo 6K eh. minsan talaga sumasakit sha at kita kse sha pag nagbabasa ako so nakakairita.

during my childhood, i've been deprived of having costly toys and high-end video games. we had a family computer once (which introduced me to mario and luigi) but mom and dad had to send it back to my aunt's store since my siblings have been fighting over it. ang meron lang ako eh my precious barbies given by my late ninang pross and some old dolls and lutu-lutuan. that's why i was always looking forward to december when i used to attend mommy and daddy's xmas party at camp aguinaldo. using my charms and dance moves, i used to make "huthot" to AFP officials. they would ask us to fall in line and i would go back several times. hahaha! per general/colonel/major (ilahat nyo na, pati private!), i could accumulate 100 bucks of malulutong na 20-peso bills, so that took me 5 na balikan sa pila. hahaha! from that strategy, i was able to buy lahat ng luho ko starting from brick game to roller blades, etc. etc. and up to my first mobile phone na nokia 5110. kung iisipin nyo eh hanggang highschool ko sha ginawa! hahaha!

though maraming super high-end video games nowadays eh nde ako naiinggit sa mga bata. mas masaya pa rin ang childhood ko na puro larong kalye ang inaatupag ko. anjan ang piko, patintero, langit-lupa, tumbang preso, mataya-taya, moro-moro, taguan, dikdikan, 10-20 and ang pagakyat sa alatiris (kung saan pumutok ang ulo ko!haha!). tapos isang sitsit lang ni mommy eh dapat nasa bahay na kame at nakahanda na ang palo dahil nanggigitata kame sa alikabok habang nagnanana ang mga sugat sa tuhod at pudpod ang tsinelas. all in all, kahit nde kame sunod sa luho eh mas masaya pa rin yung experience namin during our childhood days.

so bakit ko nga ba kinukuwento eto? ahhh kse im into games ulet, adik! pero pc games lang. just this afternoon binigyan ako ni mace ng installers and cracks of monopoly and carrie the caregiver. nakakatuwa, i'm enjoying the carrie the caregiver more. nagpapanic ako every time na nawawala yung mga babies dahil dame nung tasks and nde ko sila maattendan. that would mean na napunta sila sa NICU and critical na yung condition nila. hehe. yung monopoly mejo boring kse nde entertaining yung background music, pero somehow eh nakakaaliw rin. i'm getting hooked to these pc games na naman and i'm sure this would keep me busy this weekend. hehehe.

meet poocholita

eto ang puppy na may 4 syllables ang name. kay ej daw tong puppy na to kaya sha ang magpapangalan. may variation din naman ang name nya, it can be poocholita, cholita or cholits. hehehe. she's cholo's little one, obvious ba?! hehehe. kaya hango kay cholo ang pangalan nya. hehehe. kung si cholo eh 50% rott, eh di 25% na lang si cholits. pero in fairness, magkamukha talaga sila. look and spot the difference! ( L - cholo R - cholits)

as i've noticed eh nakuha ung laki ng paws ni cholo, color and ung pag-upo ni cholo. hehehe. see, sperm na sperm ni cholo. hehe!

pero for now, eh shy pa si cholita. she's trying to get along pa with the clan at panay ang gala sa garden.

ps. nde ko sila makuhaan ng magkasama kse etong si cholo takot sa camera, feeling hollywood celebrity. eto rin pala bonding moments ko with cholo and polar, baka magtampo. bwahaha!

pps. kanina nga pla, nun nasa garden kame kalaro si cholita, si cholo naglilibot sa kusina and sa sala mala-supervisor ang dating. nagtatampo. insecure ang lolo mo! hehe.

windows live!

first time kong magpost from windows live. eto ang counterpart ng semagic sa lj. at least now i don't have to write my posts in html codes pag nasa office. nakaproxy lang kse kame dito to access sites which are blocked by websense and ang nangyayari is nde nagloload ng tama ung editor, nde sha wysiwyg. :( hmmm, pag nagpost to ibig sabihin nagwork. let's see...

p.s. oh yan nagwork nga! ang panget lang eh walang justified alignment and required ang FTP to post pictures via windows live. ampf!

ang buhay Expat...

note to self: wag nang matulog sa shuttle

ako ang klase ng taong sinusulit ang bawat minuto (dahil alam kong maraming minuto na ang nabawas sa buhay ko kakayosi, hehe!). kaya imbes na tumunganga sa shuttle ride ay pipiliin ko na lang itulog ang 30-45 minutes na travel ko pauwe from sucat to pacita. kanina ay ganun nga ang ginawa ko, nagising ako nung nasa puregold na ako, boundary ng san pedro at muntinlupa. pero as usual, since wala pa naman ako sa pacita eh itinuloy ko ang tulog ko. hulaan nyo kung nasaan na ako pagkagising ko?! nasa pacita na ako, ang galing noh, sakto?! hehe. kaso nga lang nasa pacita na ako kung saan ung shuttle ay pabalik na ng sucat. ibig sabihin ay kasama ako sa pag-ikot sa binan ( next town after san pedro). tsk tsk! buti na lang talaga at nagising ako. nagmadali akong tumayo at sumigaw kay manong driver. sobrang gulat nya dahil may tao pa pala. nakow manong, sana sa susunod eh icheck mo ang bus bago ka bumalik ng sucat para siguraduhin na nakababa na ako. hehe!

p.s. may mas malala pa pala na nangyari sakin dati. nung uwian ako from mandaluyong, pagkagising ko eh nakapark na sa terminal nang cher ang bus. hahaha! buti na lang ang terminal nya eh nasa tapat lang ng pacita. :)

on H1Bs and SAP careers in America

H1B’s have been eating my lunch for years. I’m an experienced I.T. professional. I have 2.5 years of ABAP experience, but have some holes in my ABAP skillset, because companies would rather hire an H1B than invest in growing my skills. I even asked a couple of large high profile companies to let me come onboard and work on ABAP, FOR FREE, so that I could grow my skills and plug the ABAP gaps I do have. Guess what, these companies would rather have / train H1B’s than me. I’m a USA citizen, served 4+ years in the US Navy, paid plenty of income taxes over the years, but no company wants to help grow me at a very modest rate of pay.

I’ve worked at large corporate I.T. shops who laid me off and a bunch of other US I.T. workers. On our way out the door, I’d see new H1B’s walking in smirking at me, knowing they were taking my job.

Bill Gates and his corporate buddies have ‘lobbied’ DC politicians. Since they want more H1B’s they will get them no matter … not to worry about me and other US I.T. workers that just want a chance to work and grow our skills.

I would advise current and future USA college students to flee I.T. careers.

it's very interesting to see that there's an ongoing debate on H1B visa in SAPSearch.com. apparently, the US consultants have a a lot of knee jerking reactions on the recent increase of H1B visas. but of course, it's good news for us, Pinoy IT Professionals, who are working our asses off just to have 1/3 of our salary come to waste. san napupunta ang binabayad naming taxes GMA???

my soon to be baby!

nowadays, super spoiled si cholo. look, comfy na comfy sha inside the house without minding kuya, mommy, mama or yann. well, bagong ligo naman kse kaya malakas ang loob. hehe. he's having the time of his life and i'm quite worried baka maging brat pa to lalo. kaya i'm planning to buy a new puppy, pero love ko pa rin si polar and no one can replace him. i think cholo needs a playmate talaga eh and sabi nga ni bec eh dapat daw even number ang bilang ng dogs pag nag-alaga ka.

ok, going back eh so un nga. may nakita na akong breeder and i even told him the story of polar para maawa and makatawad! hehehe. sabi ko i don't care what breed it is and kahit anong gender, as long as kaya ng budget ko ok na. actually, i was asking for the cheapest that he can offer, hehehe.

so un, sabi nya 6 grand daw --- american cocker spaniel, male, without papers. wowowow! good buy! hahaha! ambait talaga nun breeder! kapwa mapuan ko kse. hehehe! pure breed cocker pa yun ha which is 12-13 grand ang original na benta nya. and male naman talaga gusto ko dahil pag babae yan eh as long as kaya na eh titirahin yan ni cholo. hahaha! ok rin lang sakin without papers dahil pag may papers eh insulto sakin un, ni ako nga mali mali birth certificate ko tapos sha ayos na ayos!?

next payday ko sha bibilhin. hai, kung wala lang ako babayaran ngayon eh bibilhin ko na sana sha. pero ok lang un, in 2 weeks time pwede na! :) sa ngayon pa lang eh excited na ako. i already showed the pix kila mommy and even to ate. ang cute daw! right now, nag-iisip na rin kame ng name --- cotton? mocha? macchiato(haha!)? kent? khakis? french name naman kaya? clement? olivier? enzo? maxime? sophie? (bading!) baka may suggestions kau guys? hehe! ganito ata itsura nya pag lumaki (mejo darker lang siguro), ang cutie cute!
