Dress My Nest

I was waiting for the rerun of ANTM just this evening when I came across ETC's new show entitled Dress My Nest. It was very interesting and it's not just any other show about interior design. What they do is check out your style and ask you to wear your most favorite outfit. From there, they will revamp your place using your style as the inspiration. On the episode that I've just watched, there's this new recording artist who considers herself as a boho chic. She chose a multi-layered dress with different patterns, wore a lot of beads and accessories with shells that reminds her of San Diego. The makeover of her loft turned out to be really amazing and seeing the details most of the new stuffs have the same prints with her dress, like the pillows and even the carpet. They used beads in accessorizing the curtains and there's this one lovely lamp made of capiz. I wish I could show you a picture but I couldn't find any on their site. You can catch the show every Sunday 8:30pm at ETC.

Ako si Singit Woman, nde nagbebreakfast si Singit Woman!

sa palagay ko naman eh familiar kayo sa commercial ng Koko Crunch, dba?! oh well, may versions din kse kame ng commercial ni eagle man dito sa opis. andito si arjie na si kamoteman, for the simplest reason na mahilig sha maglabas ng masamang hangin. :D

and just this afternoon ay nabully na naman ako at nabinyagan ng new alias. ako daw si "Singit Woman". huhu, etong mga mokongs na to! their harrying went like this:

jay: ay may pimple ka sa ilong!

bebe: nde nga ata pimple to eh. nakarma ata ako sa pang-aasar kay fitz sa nunal nya sa ilong.

jay: baka kulani yan?!

bebe: hello nde kaya!

arjie: oo, un tumutubo sa singit!

rhoi: oo ung dito (pointing to his singit beside his *bleep*bleep*) saka sa kili-kili.

jay: andame mo kseng singit eh (referring sa mga singit ko in between ng mga bilbil ko). ah ikaw na lang si Singit Woman!

arjie: (practicing my would-be dialogue) Ako si Singit Woman, nde nagbebreakfast si Singit Woman!

arjie: (continues with his hilarious imagination) ang power mo eh isingit ung kaaway mo sa mga singit mo. tapos mala-warp zone pala dun, nde lang isang tao ang kasha. "(demo and convo: arjie's inside the singit warp zone) oh Rhoi pati rin pala ikaw nakuha nya?"

 

hai nakow, nothing sensible is said from here on.

now's the only time that i watch Heroes from the dvd i borrowed from jay and im down to the last 2 episodes of season 1. i opted to take a break para mas suspense ang dating. haha! the plot is superb and i cannot wait til the explosion in NY happens. i feel like a total loser for not being able to watch its premiere in cable. kainis.

something fun and girly!

apparently, i have nothing to do here in the office. i'm just waiting for some feedback from the UAT in ATSG. luckily the websense is down so bloghopping to the highest level and it looks like i'm the only one who has the time to post several entries in a day. hahaha. to maximize the open portal (websense die, die!!!), i was able to try the dress up games particularly that of Project Runway Season 3. i've always loved Jeffrey Sebelia's collection (top row). i've tried out the other finalists' collections too. the first 2 wardrobes at the bottom row are creations of Michael Knight and the last 2 are from Laura Bennett and Ulrike Herzner. the clothes are so chic! :)

ps. as usual, nagrereact na naman ang mga mokong sa tabi ko. kumusta daw barbie-barbie-han ko. hehehe.

ang mga baklita ba ay comparable sa gremlins na mabilis dumami?!

i've watched PBB kanina and naknampotah nakapasok si wendy. naisip ko tuloy, ganun na ba kalaki ang population ng mga bakla dito sa pinas? kse they seem to love her. pero tama nga ba talaga ang tally ng votes? bwiset.

who would have thought that their backbiting sessions would bring them to the top?

congratulations to eric and danielle who brought home the bacon on the amazing race all stars... they have been yielded twice but they still made it to the top!

dustin and kandice came in second while "schmirnas" were the last to arrive. boo to charla and mirna!

the reason why i always miss the 6:40 amkor shuttle

every time the clock strikes 1am, that means it's time for me to watch the ellen degeneres show at 2nd avenue. i really love ellen's show. she's the one who lent her voice for dory in finding nemo---thanks to disney/pixar, she has a fabulous car. :P
she's also an actress and a stand-up comedian, a very good one actually, that's why she was voted as the 16th on comedy central's list of 100 greatest stand-ups of all time.

her show is very entertaining and they always come up with various segments like:

1. "best pictures ever" - funny pictures sent by the audience, these pictures are sometimes being enhanced by the show's graphic artists so ellen can come up with hilarious punchlines
2. "too cute ever" - shows pictures of cute animals, sent by the audience as well
3. "look at what i found in the drugstore" - ellen makes fun with the weirdest stuffs that she purchased in a drugstore
4. "look at you" - this is usually a reenactment of jokey scenes. an example of this is when she dressed again on her prom gown in highschool (fyi, ellen is a lesbian who came out of the closet in national television last april '97, Oprah played as her therapist)

i used to think that the show's title was "the ellen the generous". hehe! why? because the show gives a lot of freebies to their audience. there was one time when all of the people in the audience received "prada sunnies" (or was it ck or dkny?), also free tickets for gwen stefani's concert. coolness huh?!

ellen's trademark, dancing on her show and the coffee table everyday stunt. :)

bad karma vs money: oswald and danny got both!

oswald and danny had to face their bad karma on this week's leg of the race. they started the race with a limited amount of money, why? during the previous leg, danny did the road block where he must solicit old newspapers around the neighborhood while driving a bicycle. due to exhaustion, he decided to use all their budget to buy new newspapers instead. wrong strategy danny!!!

and now, since they're the leading team and they have the choice to yield other teams, they bargained with the beauty queens to yield eric and daniel in exchange for money. unfortunately, during the detour, they chose the dragon task where they got lost and they had a hard time finding the lake. as expected, they were the last team to check in to the pitstop.

luckily, since that was the last non-elimination round, they are still on the race but then, they are marked for elimination. they have to be the team no. 1 on the next pitstop, otherwise they incur a 30-minute penalty.

my bets to win this amazing race all stars:

1. oswald and danny - love them! they are nice people and very kikays din!
2. dustin and kandice - they've been very consistent in their place in the race, even though they're beauty queens, nde sila maarte.
3. eric and daniel - consistent din ang LQ nila..hehehe! eric always loses his temper...
4. charla and mirna - hate them! they can be very good in interacting with people but they can be very rude talaga.

"perfect", so what?

i was watching PBB and got a little annoyed when the hosts kept on mentioning that tina's favorite expression is "perfect!". haller?? if a simple "ok" is to pinoys Ü and "fantastic" is to americans and "excellent" is to oz people, then "perfect" is to europeans. aren't they aware of that? get it, it's not just tina, french, british and even turkish people are always using that expression. god!

one more thing, lagi ba talagang baduy magdamit si bianca? harhar!
