something fun and girly!

apparently, i have nothing to do here in the office. i'm just waiting for some feedback from the UAT in ATSG. luckily the websense is down so bloghopping to the highest level and it looks like i'm the only one who has the time to post several entries in a day. hahaha. to maximize the open portal (websense die, die!!!), i was able to try the dress up games particularly that of Project Runway Season 3. i've always loved Jeffrey Sebelia's collection (top row). i've tried out the other finalists' collections too. the first 2 wardrobes at the bottom row are creations of Michael Knight and the last 2 are from Laura Bennett and Ulrike Herzner. the clothes are so chic! :)

ps. as usual, nagrereact na naman ang mga mokong sa tabi ko. kumusta daw barbie-barbie-han ko. hehehe.

little bebe's antics

during my childhood, i've been deprived of having costly toys and high-end video games. we had a family computer once (which introduced me to mario and luigi) but mom and dad had to send it back to my aunt's store since my siblings have been fighting over it. ang meron lang ako eh my precious barbies given by my late ninang pross and some old dolls and lutu-lutuan. that's why i was always looking forward to december when i used to attend mommy and daddy's xmas party at camp aguinaldo. using my charms and dance moves, i used to make "huthot" to AFP officials. they would ask us to fall in line and i would go back several times. hahaha! per general/colonel/major (ilahat nyo na, pati private!), i could accumulate 100 bucks of malulutong na 20-peso bills, so that took me 5 na balikan sa pila. hahaha! from that strategy, i was able to buy lahat ng luho ko starting from brick game to roller blades, etc. etc. and up to my first mobile phone na nokia 5110. kung iisipin nyo eh hanggang highschool ko sha ginawa! hahaha!

though maraming super high-end video games nowadays eh nde ako naiinggit sa mga bata. mas masaya pa rin ang childhood ko na puro larong kalye ang inaatupag ko. anjan ang piko, patintero, langit-lupa, tumbang preso, mataya-taya, moro-moro, taguan, dikdikan, 10-20 and ang pagakyat sa alatiris (kung saan pumutok ang ulo ko!haha!). tapos isang sitsit lang ni mommy eh dapat nasa bahay na kame at nakahanda na ang palo dahil nanggigitata kame sa alikabok habang nagnanana ang mga sugat sa tuhod at pudpod ang tsinelas. all in all, kahit nde kame sunod sa luho eh mas masaya pa rin yung experience namin during our childhood days.

so bakit ko nga ba kinukuwento eto? ahhh kse im into games ulet, adik! pero pc games lang. just this afternoon binigyan ako ni mace ng installers and cracks of monopoly and carrie the caregiver. nakakatuwa, i'm enjoying the carrie the caregiver more. nagpapanic ako every time na nawawala yung mga babies dahil dame nung tasks and nde ko sila maattendan. that would mean na napunta sila sa NICU and critical na yung condition nila. hehe. yung monopoly mejo boring kse nde entertaining yung background music, pero somehow eh nakakaaliw rin. i'm getting hooked to these pc games na naman and i'm sure this would keep me busy this weekend. hehehe.

windows live!

first time kong magpost from windows live. eto ang counterpart ng semagic sa lj. at least now i don't have to write my posts in html codes pag nasa office. nakaproxy lang kse kame dito to access sites which are blocked by websense and ang nangyayari is nde nagloload ng tama ung editor, nde sha wysiwyg. :( hmmm, pag nagpost to ibig sabihin nagwork. let's see...

p.s. oh yan nagwork nga! ang panget lang eh walang justified alignment and required ang FTP to post pictures via windows live. ampf!

sa ngayon eh madalas na akong magblog-hopping. madame akong hinahangaang bloggers lalo na yung mga nakakatawa. as in natatawa ako ng malakas sa pagbabasa lang ng blog. sa ngayon ay 3 pa lang ang mga blogs na kinaaaliwan kong basahin. eto sila:

1. jesse monggo-ness - all of his entries are in english. kung kinakelangan magtagalog or magchabacano eh ay may translation pa rin sha sa english dahil madameng dayuhan ang naaliw sa kanya. blogger award winner sha subalit sa ngayon eh pansamantalang natigil ang pagba-blog nya dahil sa work. pero try nyo balikan ang mga entries nya at matatawa ka. promise. lahat ata ng entries nya ay binalikan ko at binasa. pampalipas oras noong mga panahong petix ako. hehehe.

3. mga kwento ng isang siraulong ofw - eto ata ang inspiration ni tonyo tubero sa pagba-blog. halos pareho sila ng humor. si kwentong tambay/ofw eh isang OFW sa america. sha si unkyel batjay, eto ung mga kalokohang Q&As. hehehe. may book ata sha, pero nde ko pa maconfirm. ngayong gabi ko lang nakita ang blog nya eh. i'll keep you posted pag naconfirm ko.

worst virus ever --- CNN announced

PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!!

A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored. This virus acts in the following manner:
It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title:
"A Card for You".

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York , according to news broadcast by CNN.

This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject: "A Virtual Card for You." As soon as you get the mail, delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!!

today, my butt has been planted in my seat most of the time here in the office. pero shempre there are yosi and cr breaks from time to time. wala kameng ginagawa, as in nada! i was very upset kanina 'cause there's no open portal to multiply. naiipon na ang pictures ko dito sa thinkpad. even the flyproxy does not allow uploading of files. tapos wala lang, napag-experimentuhan ko na lagyan ng "s" ung http:// and voila there's multiply! so ayun, napakabusy ko and look, i have uploaded a total of 8 albums. harhar! yan, at least productive ang friday ko bago mag-long weekend. hehehe...

tinatamad ka ba at ayaw mo magwork today?

during my acn days, i've filed a number of SLs and i tell you, most of the time i was just lazy and having a hard time getting my butt out of my very comfy bed. kung tutuusin eh lahat na ng pwedeng alibi eh nasabi ko na such as may lagnat, may LBM, masakit ang ulo, nastranded sa traffic, baha (kahit nde naman tlga), etc. good thing, nde naman ako nahuhuli kapag nagkataon na nasa greenbelt or somewhere else in makati lang ako. hahaha! siguro of all the alibis, ang pinaka-nde nakakaloka pero effective ay un kunwari eh natapilok ko. well, nagamit ko un several times pero twice dun eh totoo tlga then the rest drama na with matching benda on my ankle the day after when i come to work. hahaha! oh well, ganun naman tlga, we can make up some dumb excuses just to take the day off lalo na if walang deadlines. ayun eh kung regular ka na and paid na ang SLs --- which is not applicable for me right now, pero no one can stop me from filing SLs. bakit ba eh ako naman mawawalan ng sweldo. hehehe. sa 2 months ko here at amkor, naka 4-5 SLs na ata ako at mind you talagang nanghinayang ako sa deductions pero i think mauulet pa rin. hayaan mo na. hehe.

kaya ko nga pla napost tong topic na to kse i've read an article this morning at AOL regarding the lamest and funniest excuses for calling in sick. see for yourself and have a good laugh, have a good monday mawnin! :)

1. Employee was poisoned by his mother-in-law.
2. A buffalo escaped from the game reserve and kept charging the employee every time she tried to go to her car from her house.
3. Employee was feeling all the symptoms of his expecting wife. - i think this is acceptable here in the philippines..hehehe!
4. Employee called from his cell phone, saying that he was accidentally locked in a restroom stall and that no one was around to let him out.
5. Employee broke his leg snowboarding off his roof while drunk.
6. Employee's wife said he couldn't come into work because he had a lot of chores to do around the house.
7. One of the walls in the employee's home fell off the night before.
8. Employee's mother was in jail.
9. A skunk got into the employee's house and sprayed all of his uniforms. - hahaha!
10. Employee had a bad case of hiccups.
11. Employee blew his nose so hard, his back went out.
12. Employee's horses got loose and were running down the highway.
13. Employee was hit by a bus while walking. - possible but sad..
14. Employee's dog swallowed her bus pass. - harhar!
15. Employee was sad. - ??? it's better to use psychological terms na lang kesa sa plain "sad" lang. parang so anu naman kung sad ka? hehehe...

first timer

just finished chatting with diane and jason. hahaha, nakakatuwa kse first time kong mag-voice chat. sobrang shungak ko na diane had to instruct me pa on how to test the mic and how to voice chat. i have no headset kaya ginamit ko na lang microphone ng thinkpad na to. when i learned how to activate the microphone and they were able to hear me na, sobrang nahiya naman ako dahil may feedback at naririnig ko ung boses ko 4 times. hehehe. pinapagalitan din ako ni diane dahil sa feedback. hehehe.

nakow, need to buy headset na talaga. jason left the conference room @ 4am tapos diane and i called it a night na rin @ 4:30 am. nagtext na rin kse sa kanya si ken na pag nde pa sha natulog eh panget na daw sha pag nagpa-facials sila. hehehe. yiheee!

it was really fun.

excess: diane also sent us the link of dolce pastries and i plan to order the toblerone pistachio cake soon. it looks really yummy that i realized na natitigan ko un picture ng around 2 minutes habang nagchachat kme, matagal na un ha.

multiply to the highest level...

kakatapos ko lang mag-upload ng pictures sa multiply. nakakapagod ha, all in all i've transferred more or less 350 pictures in 4 hours, i started at midnight. ung pictures eh used to be stored in my k700i and now that i've given the phone to yann, nikuha ko na rin lahat ng pix. since maliit lang ung pictures, tolerable naman kahit dial-up lang ako, pero nakakapagod pa rin sha sobra.

quick kwento: kanina nga pala, when i was in the shuttle on my way home, sobrang napakainit. nasa window side na ako ha (nde kse aircon, nyerks!) so talagang ang init, yakap ko pa ung bag ko where andun ung thinkpad. pagbaba ko sa bus, mainit pa rin ung bag ko. tapos all the while pala eh nde natuloy magshut down ung laptop ko, so 2 hours shang naka-on habang yakap ko. jusme, kaya pala napakainit nun natutulog ako sa bus. shunga shunga talaga.

a typical day in the office

we're usually busy in the office --- busy chatting with friends over IMs (ym, google, sametime, skype, google & aol, in my workstation all of these are open except skype) , grabbing some smokes several times within the day, sharing some abap know-hows, talking about potential SAP employers, camwhoring and a lotta bullying and picking on each other.

actually, according to the acn folks, parang mejo matalas na daw ako magsalita at malupet mang-asar. sino ba naman ang nde magiging bihasa sa panlalaglag kung ang mga taong kasama mo eh tong mga to, lalo na tong si jay (guy covering his face). it was like the mapua days, one of the boys ako. these days, ang usual na hirit nila eh "naku ang yabang mo na, naka-thinkpad ka na kse lider!". haha!

speaking of thinkpad, jologs na pala ang thinkpad ko ngayon, may gate pass na na nakakabit, kseng laki ng id ko. so obvious na company property sha talaga. hehehe. at san ka pa, may picture ko pa! kainis.

pero i was just informed na maswerte pa pala ako kse naka-T60p ako, pang-managers pa la to. since last stock na to kse mag-a-upgrade na sila sa t61, eh binigay na samin... yey! :)

napansin ko rin kanina, parang nasa akin pa rin ang accenture spirit. tingnan nyo naman ang mga gamit ko. there's the accenture lock, orange accenture laptop bag and the blue pouch for my toothbrush, soap and other kikay stuffs.

hai, namiss ko talaga ang accenture, but hear me, IM.NEVER.GOING.BACK.TO.MDC! but to other delivery centers abroad, gusto ko talaga -- SG, AU or sa Paris. XD

excess:
kanina nga pala, nag-down ang websense (siguro napakiusapan ng mga may kakiklala dito...hehe) and guess what kung anu ang una kong binuksan! MULTIPLY!!! :) in uploading 20 pictures, it only took me 10 minutes, winner talaga ang 1Gbps speed dito! hehe!

last friday, napakasaya ko sobra dahil nakapagupload ako ng pictures sa multiply. napakabilis sobra...wala ako vpn nun dahil shunga pa ako sa wireless connection settings dito, so bale internet lang, walang lotus notes and SAP connections (hehe, eh wala pa rin naman work at that time, katatapos ko lang sa object ko -- defensive!). nung nagkaroon ng time si sir ric, i asked him to help me out how to connect to vpn. so ayun naayos namin and i've found out that what i was using before eh wireless connection for customers! m*therf*cker, to think na hanggang tenga ang smile ko while uploading ng napakaraming pics ha. hai, lagot na naman ako...at ang linchak na proxy ay topak magupload sa multiply...kaya for now eh wala munang multiply, baka mapaalis ako dito bago pa ko magresign...tangna men!!!

depression drives me to become a blogwhore

hopelessness just sinked in to me when i read ote's post on our previous chat. so instead of being gloomy and all, i just kept myself busy enhancing my blog layout.

i've spent a lotta time surfing the net yesterday to find a new xml layout but everytime i apply a new one, i encounter some errors (i was so tamad to download a compiler kaya i find it difficult to find the line code where the error occurs). the only codes which i found bug-free were those from final sense. i've tried this deer/woman layout but my blog looked kinda dull upon applying it. i also had a hard time thinking of what color would make a great combo with black (well aside from white, of course).

if you know any links that provides "crazy" but appealing layouts for the new blogger, puhleaseee let me know. i prefer xml codes 'cause i find it easier to modify. thanks thanks!!! :)
